Michael Norton: How to buy happiness (TEDx Talk) -

Michael I. Norton is an Associate Professor of Business Administration in the Marketing Unit and Marvin Bower Fellow at the Harvard Business School. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and English from Williams and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton. Prior to joining HBS, Professor Norton was a Fellow at the MIT Media Lab and MIT’s Sloan School of Management. His work has been published in a number of leading academic journals, including Science, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, and the Annual Review of Psychology, and has been covered in media outlets such as the Economist, the Financial Times, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post.

His research has twice been featured in the New York Times Magazine Year in Ideas issue, in 2007 (Ambiguity Promotes Liking) and 2009 (The Counterfeit Self). His “The IKEA Effect: When Labor Leads to Love” was featured in Harvard Business Review‘s Breakthrough Ideas for 2009.

Founder Institute: Revisited -

First time I heard about Founder Institute is from Singapore Founder Institute  Director Jeff Paine when I was visiting singapore for Echelon 2010. Then in 2011 I heard the news that Founder Institute will be brought to Jakarta from my friend Sanny Gaddafi, he is the technical founder of Auto Sally with his friend Novistiar. Auto Sally is one of the Startup launched on Founder Institute U.S. Having experience Founder Institute in the U.S.; with help of Indonesian mobile industry meetup Andy Zain; they brought Founder Institute to Jakarta.

Yowayowa Camera Woman Diary -

Natsumi Hayashi

yowayowa is a Japanese term meaning “weak” or “feeble.”

Why we can't buy happiness — but try to anyway. -

In 1972, the percentage of Americans who said they were “pretty happy” was about 50%. In the years since, the U.S.’s standard of living has risen dramatically, and our gross domestic product per capita has increased by 96%. That means we have more, we consume more and we can afford more.
